It is very sad story what happened in Dayniile Neighbourhood of Mogadishu Today, The Alqaida affliated Alshabab beheaded 9 police men,ransacked the police station and also took 2 vehicles from the house of the Parliament MP mr Qanyare,witnesses said they saw about 100 masked men burst into the police compound and took the unprepared police men by surprise, then they lined them blind folded, their hands tied, and started severing their heads one by one.
according to the police spokes person the government troops were ordered to cease all operations after the UN broked peace accord signed just last week in Djabouti. It is becoming clear now that Shiekh Sharif who has recently defected from the rest of the extremists in Asmara and who signed the agreement with the Federal Government of Somalia is becoming a No-Factor person since he isn't able in implementing whatwas agreed on in Djabouti, It is obvious that Shiekh Dahir aweys who is wanted by the United States for his relations in the bombing of the US Embassy in Nairobi and the Israeli Hotel in Mombasa, is actually the man behind the unrest in Somalia, being from the powerfull Ayr clan he has more power base than shiekh sharif who is from the politically immature Abgals.

On 7 November,2001, the Bush administration released the list of 62 organisations and individuals accused of financial links with Osama Bin Laden, among those 62 were 2 somali firms which both dealed with telecommunications, one was Al-Barakaat, Somalia's largest company with interests in telecommunications, banking and postal services, we been told that this company closed its financial businesses after its assets were frozen. the other one Somalia Internet Company.
both companies were accused of funnelling money to Alqaida Network. now in 2008 there is three companies that have assumed the services of the two, telecom,nationlink and Hormud! as far as I know , and all sources point out the same, Hormud is ex Albarakaat, what happened is just a name change.
currently there is a lot of insurgency in Mogadishu and the theatre of the war is usually on the Bakaraha Market where these companies operate, there is also Alqaida Related activities in and around Mogadishu, Kismayo and even Baidoa. these companies have been accused more than once of involvement, they made their own militia to defend their bustling businesses in Bakaraha Market, they work with the likes of Ahmed Diriye and Hassan Haad who call themselves the Hawiye Elders , they pay for the ammunitions,the fuel,wages of those who are waging war on the Somali Government and the OAU forces in mogadishu.
according to one reliable source they operate in hotels where they hire the skilled bomb makers and the willing assasins who kill indifferently, the roadside bombs,killing of people suspected of being moderate muslims these are the trade marks of Alqaida. now my question is Do you think the american companies that make bussiness with these three companies have no clue as to who they are dealing with? it is either of two things, the big American companies like AT&T solely care of the income these companies bring to their til or they are involved in Intelligence gathering, if the later is true then we can say America makes Alqaida and tells the world otherwise.if not then they would have closed these terror factories, intelligence gathering should not be on the expenses of Dead innocent people and children.

MYM Commander Shaykh Mukhtar Abu Al-Zubayr Sends Message to Global Jihad Leaders On 1 June, a forum participant posted to a jihadist website a statement containing various links to an audio message by Shaykh Mukhtar Abu al-Zubayr, a commander in the Mujahidin Youth Movement, MYM. The audio message is entitled "We Conduct Jihad so That There Will Be No Sedition; Worship Solely Is for Sake of God." In the audio message, Shaykh Mukhtar Abu al-Zubayr sends out his greetings to Mullah Omar of the Taliban, the leaders of the Al-Qa`ida organization, the Islamic State of Iraq, and the mujahidin in Algeria and throughout the world. Abu al-Zubayr discusses the Ethiopian occupation of Somalia, mentioning that it is on the brink of defeat now, and that the mujahidin will continue their jihad until the Ethiopians have left their lands. He also argues that the United States has failed to impose its projects and plans in the region and, therefore, it has resorted to air strikes. Abual-Zubayr also discusses the history of the Horn of Africa region and various Somali leaders who fought against colonialism. He also praises the Global Islamic Media Front for its support and requested that it continues to spread the history of Islam and report on whatever issues are of concern to Muslims.

A translation of the statement and audio message follows:

"In the name of God, the Most Compassionate and Most Merciful.

"God Almighty stated: `And fight them until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah altogether and everywhere; but if they cease, verily Allah doth see all that they do. If they refuse, be sure that Allah is your Protector, the best to protect and the best to help` (Koranic verse; Al-Anfal 8:39-40).

"The Media Section of the Mujahidin Youth Movement(MYM) presents an audio message by the Commander Shaykh Mukhtar Abu al-Zubayr, may God protect the amir of the Mujahidin Youth Movement, entitled: "We Conduct Jihad so That There Will Be No Sedition; Worship Solely Is for Sake of God." Praise be to God, we thank Him, seek His support, believe in Him, and depend upon Him. We testify that there is no God but God, Who has no partner, and that Muhammad is his slave and messenger who was sent by guidance and the religion of Truth, in order to proclaim it to all religions, even if the infidels do not like that.
"Greetings to Mullah Muhammad Omar, the amir of the believers, who patiently has endured for the sake of God. Greetings to the mujahid Usama Bin Ladin, our shaykh and amir, and greetings to Shaykh Aymanal-Zawahiri, our steadfast veteran shaykh who has lived for jihad by jihad, and greetings to Shaykh Abu Yahya al-Libi, who revived the Al-Usra (distress) Army, and whose words have had a stronger impact than 1,000 jihadist soldiers in your brothers` battle against the global Crusade. May God reward him.

"Greetings to the men of the Islamic State (of Iraq -- ISI) and its Amir Abu-Umar al-Baghdadi and its Minister of War Abu-Hamza al-Muhajir, who stand in the front row in defense of Islam and its sanctities. Greetings to our mujahidin brothers in Algeria, who remain upon the covenant and steadfast on the path, those who went through a conspiracy to which countries point.

"O mujahidin brothers, the Horn of Africa, which is the land of two Hijrahs (migrations) and the southern belt of defense for the island of the Mustafa (Prophet Muhammad), prayers and peace be upon him), is considered an arena of the current Crusade battlefield arenas, because it was a field of its fields during the Middle Ages. It is noted that the region has had successive Islamic emirates since the advent of Islamic history, such as the Emirates of Shawah (name as heard), Harar (name as heard), Zila`a (name as heard) [Zaylac] and other Islamic emirates. They are the allies of the Jewish Americans in the region in their war against Islam and its people, and in their attempts to destroy jihad in this region the Crusaders have used a number of methods.

"First, there is military invasion and suppression of the jihadist vanguard militarily.

"Second, there is internal destruction by spreading suspicions, using bad scholars, and intellectual penetration to pervert the march of jihad or its containment. This method is the one from which your brothers have suffered most. It has brought the best from jihad and the mujahidin, and it even has been the reason for the retreat of jihad and its stumbling more than once.
"Third, there is the isolation of the region from the rest of the Islamic world so that it will face its destiny alone. US bases surround it like a wrist band by land and sea. In spite of all these plots, jihad is doing well and the mujahidin brigades are spread out throughout the entire country. The Ethiopians military tactics are based on two basic elements, which are flooding with human waves and shelling by artillery, missiles, and from the air. Your mujahidin brothers have contained this superiority by adopting the guerrilla warfare method, which has made most of the enemy`s weapons ineffective except in the commission of heinous crimes against innocent people and the destruction of towns. The large number of Ethiopian soldiers has made it easy for the mujahidin to hunt them everywhere, which has led to the collapse of their morale and their loss of balance.

"The Muslim people of Somalia have joined with the vanguard fighters of the Mujahidin Youth Movement. God has enabled your brothers to overcome the enemy`s attempts and the hypocrites and the people of innovation to cordon or impose a siege upon them, as evidenced by the American bombardment of some of the mujahidin`s leaders. More than others, the US has learned that its allies are collapsing, their plans are failing, and that their projects in the region are shattering. Thus, they did not find a way to express their anger other than by shelling.
"God willing, the global jihad brigades will come out from the land of two Hijrahs to haunt the strongholds of the infidels, in order to destroy their interests around the world. O steadfast brothers, despite the cunningness of the enemies, your brothers in the Mujahidin Youth Movement have broken the chains that were placed on the hands of the mujahidin. They have destroyed the walls that surrounded them, in order to show the bright white banner of jihad that is void of any fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) of waiting or policy of surrender. Your brothers announce a number of things:
"First, the objective of their struggle is to uphold the word of God, and the establishment of a Caliphate based on the methodology of the prophet. Narrated in Sahih Bukhari: `A man came to the Prophet and asked: "A man fights for war booty, another fights for fame, and a third fights for showing off; which of them fights in Allah`s Cause?" The Prophet stated: "He who fights that Allah`s Word (that is, Islam) should be superior, fights in Allah`s Cause."` (Hadith)
"Second, there is no dialogue or negotiations with the ignorant of the secularists, nationalists, and all apostates. Shaykh Muhammad Bin Abd-al-Wahab stated: `These tyrants who people believe it is a duty to obey instead of God are all apostates from Islam. How can they not be considered so, as they deem permissible what God has not permitted and vice versa? Islam would not be correct unless we declare our innocence of these people and consider them as infidels.`
"Third, they (MYM) are an integral part of the vanguard of the global jihad. God Almighty stated: `Truly, Allah loves those who fight in His Cause in battle array, as if they were a solid cemented structure`(Koranic verse; As-Saff 61:4). The Islamic Caliphate remained when the Muslims were united, and disintegrated and collapsed when the Muslim nation was broken. It only will return with unity under the banner of monotheism and the creed allegiance and enmity.
"Finally, I greet the brothers in the Global Islamic Media Front, who have supported and championed us. I say to them: do not let any Islamic cause, however small, pass you by. Study the issues of Muslims in the East and West of the world and experience their worries, because you are the symbol of unity of the nation. The prophet stated: `The simile for the believers in their mutual affection, mercy, and kindness is that they are like a single body; if a single organ or limb of it has a complaint, the rest of the body collapses in fever and sleeplessness` (Hadith). Know that you are the bridge between the nation and its mujahidin vanguards. Search for the historic treasures of this nation and present them by every means to motivate the forthcoming generations and to illustrate the nation`s path to glory and empowerment.

"I advise the mujahidin brothers everywhere by what the prophet stated: `I advise you to fear God, because He is the foundation of everything, seek jihad as it is the monastic order of Islam. You should remember God and recite the Koran, because it is your soul in heaven and your remembrance on earth` (Hadith).

"Our last supplication is, praise be to the Lord of all creations."

there are two different understandings when it come to who is wrong and who is right in somali politics, is it the western countries who completely don't understand the country's ways and problems or they are doing whatever they are doing on purpose?
If we give the benefit of the doubt and say the western countries are not in touch with the reality in somalia then it is fair to say they(western countries)have to either hire people who understand the place or abstain from mingling with the whole situation, let's go back little bit with the history of the current affairs in somalia. first the country had a Dictator who was running the place with Iron hand doing whatever he wished to do including telling people to sing for him day in day out plus he had a realtion with Russia, now Russia divorced him and went to more populous Ethiopia and its new kid in the block Mengistu Haile Mariam, Siyad Barre was beaten and humiliated by the ethiopians Cubans the Yemens with the blessing of Russia, when Siyad barre became lonely he opted for another marriage, this time he went USA. the united states came but they were not happy with what this guy was doing to his own and they started working with and working against him at same time, they worked with him by providing some assistance and they worked against him by helping train those who were against him. Robert Oakley (the ambassador of USA in Somalia) was so naive that he helped the USC of the hawiye clan get the upper hand, in this way the other clans were swept, women in children thrown to the sea for the sharks and whoever could run went to the neighbouring countries. Now what the west didn't knew was that the USC was not only a tribal based guerrila movement but they were also anti social and terrorists, General Aidid was the leader. I think now you are getting some glimpse into the situation,;).
as soon as Aydid and his army took over the capital they showed their true colours but USA didn't get it yet because Bush the senior (mr Blunderer) continued to sponsor the Operation restore Hope(Operation Runaway)debacle, I know it was Clinton who ordered the USA army to evacuate the place but the Bush family should have foreseen that, strange thing is the Bush family always creates a mess for the upcoming guy to the white house, the Senior Bush did it in Somalia the Junior Bush is doing it in Iraq, all they know is to move armies in the middle of nowhere and then leave office or sacked out, I think my 8 months old is more qualified in politics then the Bush family ;) .
to be honest with you this family abused the power , I think they don't don't care who is dying as long as they get what they want, I believe the War in Iraqi was a family Vendetta,but that is non of my business anyways. let me stick to what concerns me which is Somalia, now that operation restore hope wasn't succeding and Robert Oakley came to understand that whatever he did was fruitless both for the somali community and for the US foreign policy he thought if Aydid was taken out then things will get ok but he was wrong again because Aydid was just and individual among many terrorists, he happened to be their boss but his legacy will stay and there are more Aydids who can change their colour and tactics as much as they like, he was the creator of the maxaakims(the religious fanatics) who running the show till today, they got different shapes and names,first they were hawiye clan or USCUSCwhom United states was helping get rid of the Dictator Siyad BarreDictator Barre then they maxakims then they became AlshababAlqaida but still they keep the other names and use them according to the situation, they can cry foul any minute by saying a somali clan is being targetted by the USA , they do that always and very often and they even have 2 speakers for the so called the Hawiye Elders, one is called ahmed diriye and the other one is called mohamed hassan haad.
when they play that card it is very effective and they use both to mobilize more terrorists and to show the world that an innocent clan is being sidelined and targetted. now if US state department cann't differentiate between all these names or nicknames then it is time they should pose a question or two to those who know the reality,If US decides otherwise and send to these countries guys like Robert oakley or If the white house is oocupied by people like the Bushs, then the story is gonna be like a dog trying to catch it's tail. to borrow some words from shakespeare The US politics will be a tale told by an idiot full of fury and sound signifying nothing + leading to nowhere in Somali we say " Jug jug meeshaada joog " push push stay where you are ( no development).
